What Is a Digital Clock?

A digital clock is a clock that uses 4 numbers to display the time, rather than a clockface with 12 numbers, hands, and dials (known as an analog clock).

They display time in 24 hours or 12 hours and usually have a semi-colon between the hour and minute numbers.

For example, on a digital clock, 2 o'clock would be shown as "14:00" or "02:00 pm".
